Isabell Werth

Werth Isabell Werth, the Number One in the FEI/BCM World Dressage Rankings as per 23 June 1998, but lost this position to Anky van Grunsven as per 12 July 1998, is back in the Number One spot. The point difference between the two lady riders battling for Dressage supremacy for several years now is still very small: 1945 points for Isabell Werth against 1902 for Anky van Grunsven.

Louise Nathhorst remains Number 3. But Sven Rothenberger lost his 4th spot and is now 9th. New in 4th place is Jürgen Wirths, which makes him the leading male rider in the world for the time being.

There are 6 Germans in the Top Ten; the Dutch have two, but two more in 12th and 13th place. The top non-European rider is George Miechowsky of Canada as 16th. FEI/BCM Dressage and Jumping Riders rankings can be consulted at: www.bcm.nl
