Veteran Michael Barisone was back in the FEI arena this past winter with
two horses in the Grand Prix, Dotato and Saphir. Shown here at The Miami
Dade Winter Dressage Show, is Dotato a KWPN Dutch Warmblood gelding by
Zooliev, owned by partner Vera Kessels. Consistent winners in the Prix
St George and Intermediare 1 levels in 1998, Kessels decided to hand the
reins over to Barisone, giving him the opportunity to qualify for The
USET Festival of Champions coming up this June. Based at Bruno Diekman's winter headquarters in Loxahatchee, Florida, Barisone and Kessels run a busy operation training and selling horses imported from Europe, and teaching several clients who come to Florida to train for the winter. |
