Anky and Bonfire

After numerous international victories, Anky van Grunsven is still amazed by the almost unlimited quality of her majestic Gestion Bonfire (Oldenburg by Welt As) and makes a point to give her horse the credit he deserves. "There seems to be no end to our progress." Anky exclaimed, "We are getting more clever every day and this is what makes it challenging and exciting for me to get the best out of our performances."

And get the most they did at The 1999 European Championships in Arnhem, the Netherlands during their world record Freestyle to Music, July 4. Riding to music based on themes from The West Side Story arranged by Dutch television program producers Cees Slings and Victor Kerkof they scored 85.81%.
