July 19 1999 Alexandra Simons-de Ridder and Chacomo 003  The
35-year-old from Aachen who has completed an apprenticeship in business
administration, was runner up at this year's German Championship, winner
of The 1999 CHIO Aachen's Dressage Grand Prix, and member of the European
Championship's German Gold Medal Team. Chacomo 003 is a 10 year old Holsteiner gelding by Calypso 1 out of Paranka by Mamor. He was unfortunately sidelined at the European Championships after the Grand Prix due to a virus that later affected team mates Antony (Werth) and individual silver medallist Rusty (Salzgeber). She started riding at the age of seven on one of her parent's horses. At the age of 12, she rode in her first dressage competition. Her father Hans-Peter Simons is a passionate hunt follower and four-in-hand driver. |
