Loxahatchee, FL – While international dressage rider Cesar Parra has been taking top places at this season’s CDIs, his team of riders at Piaffe-Performance have also been working hard. Their hard work paid off at the recent White Fences Dressage Show, where Parra’s riders were able to test their skills and take a few victory passes of their own. “It was a fun and successful show made possible by the combined efforts of everyone on the team,” Parra said. “Despite the below average temperatures and rain, all of our horses and riders put forth a fantastic effort, riding with elegance, skill and determination. Colombian dressage rider Marco Bernal heard his national anthem played three times at the 2010 Palm Beach Dressage Derby, thanks to three wins aboard his Westphalian stallion Farewell IV. Bernal, is sponsored by the National Colombian Coffee Federation.
West Palm Beach, FL (March 10, 2010) – Colombian dressage rider Marco Bernal lived every rider’s dream during the 2010 Palm Beach Dressage Derby CDI, when he heard his country’s national anthem played three times for three great wins. Bernal’s success came aboard his Westphalian stallion Farewell IV, the same stallion that he set the world record on at WEF in 2005 when they scored a record high score of 85.385%. “This was the best show for me so far. It is nice when you work so long with a horse and you have great results, ” Bernal said. “It was also a great feeling to hear my national anthem played three times in a row. I have had Farewell for almost five years and he improves every day. It is really nice to see that improvement.”

Native Kentuckian Wynonna Judd will welcome the world to Kentucky with a special performance at the Opening Ceremony of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games
Lexington, Kentucky - Wynonna Judd will welcome the world to Kentucky with a special performance at the Opening Ceremony of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. The 2010 Games will feature world championship competitions in eight equestrian sports at the Kentucky Horse Park from September 25 through October 10. The Games will be the largest sporting event in America this year and are renowned to be the world’s most prestigious equestrian competition. On the evening of September 25, Wynonna will perform “My Old Kentucky Home” in a pinnacle moment of the Opening Ceremonies.

Kassie Barteau and Aramo won the Highlife Cup at the 2010 Palm Beach Dressage Derby CDI. The Highlife Cup, awarded to the highest scoring Warmblood at the show, is sponsored by Highlife Farms, a world-class sport horse and warmblood breeding farm.
West Palm Beach, FL (March 10, 2010) – Kassie Barteau and Aramo, a five-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Leslie Valente, scored a 75.714% at the Palm Beach Dressage Derby CDI to ride away with the Highlife Cup. The prestigious Highlife Cup, sponsored by Highlife Farms, is awarded to the highest scoring Warmblood at the show, and Barteau and Aramo earned their top score in the Training Level Test 2 Open class. “Aramo is big and brilliant,” Barteau said, adding that she has just been getting to know him over the last few weeks. “He was really on my aids and really well behaved. I was very pleased.”

The outpouring of love and support continue to gain momentum as the equestrian world reaches out with their prayers, cards, messages and healing thoughts to Dressage Olympian Courtney King Dye who remains in a coma at Saint Mary’s Hospital in North Palm Beach. Wednesday night at the Player’s Club Restaurant, 13410 South Shore Blvd, Wellington, Florida at 7PM, the popular Dressage Under the Stars Series will have the last Freestyle event before the Finale next week. It will be a massive effort to bring together the large equestrian community of Wellington in support of the emergency funding needed for Courtney .
