August 30 1999 Bethany Pelsar and Bannzayir 
The highest
placed rider at The 1999 North American Young Riders' Championships for
the Silver Medal Region Two Team, Bethany Pelsar and her Bannzayir show
the results of their hard work and training. Her KWPN gelding by Mariner, is an experienced mount who has taught her well. Also contributing to her progress is her trainer David DeWhispelaere, and her supportive and enthusiastic family and friends. Region 2 had a strong team and hopes for the Gold but it was not to be as they were edged out in total team points by Region 3 and the winning Team Test ride by Gwen Poulin and Fuerst Paldi. Nontheless, they are a close team who demonstrated great spirit throughout the week, and are already plotting their strategy for NAYRC 2000 to be held at High Prairie Farms, in Parker Colorado next August. |
