Tina Wehlmann and Grand Fox

Tina Wehlmann and Grand Fox Tina Wehlmann cleary opened everyone's eyes by parading through the German Young Riders' Dressage Circuit as a true champion. The 20 year old from Recklingshausen, Germany, strongly dominated the Young Riders' field at the last German Team qualifier in Bad Honnef. By scoring 70.11% and 69.64% she received the champion's cooler and laurel twice on that two-day event.

While a large field of German Young Riders are diamond cut diamonds, it was Wehlmann who impressed the judges the most and maintained this solid competition-spirit throughout the European Young Riders' Championship in Ksiaz, Poland. Winning the preliminary and team championships test with sky high marks 70.67% and 71.74% Wehlmann was bound to collect individual gold. However a 72.63 percentage was not enough; team mate Von Oldershausen rode a 72.79% test and pushed Wehlmann back to second position, who had to take home silver along with team gold.
