November 4 1999 Jayne Thomas Receives Dream Present
The 101st Elite Auction of Hanoverian Sport
Horses broke the all time record of 510,000 DM once paid for the world
famous mare Wahajama (by Warkant). Price highlight of this well visited
equestrian happening in Verden, Germany, was a Donnerhall x Consul descendant.
Diamond Dream, a 3 year old black stallion which already placed third
at the 1999 Bundeschampionate in his age class, was purchased by Peggy
and Parry Thomas from Sun Valley, Idaho. The Thomas couple, which are
platinum customers at the Elite Auctions, paid 600,000 Deutsch Marks for
this "Diamond Dream". Standing 17.0 hands high Diamond Dream will be offered to daughter Jayne as a present. Peggy Thomas already purchased Pan Am champion Brentina at the Verden auction along with the super talented youngster Donatello. Adrie Gordijn, father of Gonnelien Rothenberger-Gordijn, purchased a new addition for his successful stallion station "De Ijzeren Man" in Weert, The Netherlands. Wienna, a gorgeous black mare by Weltruhm x Woermann, moved to Holland for 420,000 DM. The black pearl excels in her trot and rideability and seems to be a huge prospect for the future. by Astrid Appels |
