World Cup Dressage in Amsterdam

Top Three After a long rest since the European Championships in July,
the world record Champion Gestion Bonfire performed to a sold out crowd winning again with his Dutch partner Anky Van Grunsven topping an international field with an 82.29. "The older he gets, the more confident and relaxed he becomes," Van Grunsven said of her sixteen-year-old Oldenburg gelding by Welt As.

Second place Dutch rider Arjen Teeuwissen, who lives in Belgium a 17th century fort converted into a dressage training facility, scored a 76.29 with Gestion Goliath T, a KWPN Gelding by Zebulon. "My horse is gaining trust in me, and listened better to my aids today" Teeuwissen said.

German rider Heike Kemmer put in a solid performance on Albano a 12-year-old Oldenburg by Argentinus, and expressed her pleasure in showing in Amsterdam in spite of the strong rivalry between the two countries.
