Barnsby Saddle Winner is Mary Haskins Gray

Mary Haskins Gray, a Young Rider from Greensboro, NC, was the winner of the Barnsby AVG/Bonfire Dressage Saddle at the Region 1 Championships held at the Horse Park of New Jersey, September 17 - 19, 1999.

Mary competed in the Young Rider Team and Individual Tests aboard her eight year old Thoroughbred X mare, Black Tie. Her name was chosen at random from all of the amateur competitors riding from Training through 4th level to receive this special prize.

Barnsby Saddlery of Walsall, England have donated a dressage saddle to each of the USDF's nine Regional Finals. "We are very pleased to be able to offer such a high quality saddle as a prize." Said Kathy Moffitt manager of the Championships. "We were lucky enough to have Barnsby as a sponsor before they became involved with the USDF on a National basis and we feel very happy and proud to see their sponsorship commitment grow along with the Regional Championships and the USDF as a whole."
