Guenter Seidel and Metallic

Guenter Seidel and Metallic Guenter has two horses that have made it into the top 15 horse and rider combinations for the 2000 USET Selection Trials for the Olympic Games. Metallic, a KWPN Dutch Warmblood Stallion by Uniform, was teammate Robert Dover's mount in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, and is now owned by Judith Bernier. Another Dutch horse Foltaire is owned by Dick and Jane Brown, who also owned Sediel's 1996 Olympic horse Graf George.

A German native, Seidel moved to America in 1985 and within ten years he represented the United States at the Pan American Games winning the Team Silver, beginning a longterm contribution to the successes that followed. While Foltaire is currently leading in the rider standings going into the second week end of of competition, Metallic and Seidel have adapted well together.
