Patty Mayer and Exact

The only real amateur to have made it to America's top 12, is Patty Mayer, from Culver City, California. A full time entertainment and copyright attorney who works for MGM, Mayer is not related to the Mayer in MGM although "people take my calls more readily" Patty admits.

Mayer has owned her 13 year old Dutch Warmblood Exact since he was a two year old and has trained him to Grand Prix with the help of her long time trainer Hilda Gurney. The huge 17.1 hand horse with a big white blaze and one blue eye, has huge impressive movements that seem to shake the ground as he performs his extentions, appearing to cover the diagonal in three strides.

Competing at the Grand Prix Level since 1995, the longtime duo have had many career highlights most recently representing the United States in Brazil for the Amil Grand Prix.
