Arnhem Begins
The first day of the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Arnhem the Netherlands, was a full one with a large division in both the five and six year old divisions. Dr. Ulf Moller and the Hanoverian gelding Placido by Prestige Pilot placed first in the five-year-old division. The two entries for the USA, Robert Dover and New Tango by Contago are tied for fifteenth place and Heather Bender's Winwood by Wonderful are in twenty-second in a field of thirty-eight. Scott Hassler's entry the Westfalen stallion by Florestan I unfortunately had to scratch due to a minor injury.
In the young horse classes the judges comment at the end of each ride their over all observations, often with suggestions for what may improve the presentation for the next class. This also great entertainment for the audience, who filled the stands to watch the first qualifying round. Related Links Euro-Dressage Coverage CHampion Gelderland Official Site In Dutch |
