Tess Gilder Hosts USET Party in Arnhem
Tess Gilder currently training in Holland with Anky van Grunsven and Sjef Jansen hosted a lovely evening for the USET Dressage riders competing in Arnhem, the first of the two final selection trials for a spot on the Olympic Team for Sydney.
Pictured here with Robert Dover and Guenter Seidel, Gilder, a newcomer to dressage, is moving forward at a rapid pace. From New York City, Gilder met Canadian dressage rider Ashley Holzer where Ashley and husband Rusty operate a riding and training facility. Her children were taking riding lessons, and Gilder who had ridden hunters years before was drawn to dressage. In a very short time she was riding at the Prix St Georges level after purchasing Holzer's stallion Macho. In her first dressage test ever in Wellington last winter she scored a 65%. Together in Holland, Gilder and Holzer are doing some intensive training over the summer months. Thank you Tess for a lovely party!
