USET Olympic Squad's Final Test: Bad Honnef
On the idyllic island Graf Inselwerth in the middle of the Rhine river near Bad Honnef, Germany, international judge Uwe Spenlen organizes his annual dressage "serenade" named Parkfestival Dressur. The show grounds are only reachable by a bridge connecting the picturesque village of Bad Honnef with the lush green island that serves as a park for 353 days a year. The Park Festival will be a mini-equitana with shops, restaurants, competition and demonstrations 'luring' visitors and riders to the isle for a top quality dressage weekend.
Uwe Spenlen invited Germany's top FEI riders to compete from pony level up to Grand Prix. The program is packed with interesting tests which are poised to show dressage at its best. See ponies dancing a freestyle at fourth level, young riders trying for the German team or Grand Prix riders depicting their horses' piaffe and passage. Although the show is solely of national calibre, the scene will certainly have an international grandeur. The American Olympic squad is there for their final test in order to qualify for the United States Olympic Dressage Team. Sue Blinks, Robert Dover, Kathleen Raine, Gunther Seidel and Christine Traurig will have their final rides on island Grafwerth determining which four will receive the ticket for Sydney Tune in at dressagedaily.com for daily reports of this exclusive event by Astrid Appels Related Links Horsesdaily "On the Scene" Bad Honnef Coverage Complete Results |
