On The Scene, With the DressageDaily Crew

For the second year the Phelps Photo and DressageDaily crew were the official Photography Company at the Bad Honnef Dressage held near Cologne, Germany. From left to right, Marion Heinrichsen, from Aachen, our German translator, Mary Phelps-Hathaway, photographer and webmaster, and Astrid Appels of eurodressage.com fame. The photo was taken by other "crew" member, Jim (JJ) Hathaway.

We were given the royal treatment by organizer, Uwe Spenlen, which included our own tent on the arena, accommodations at the Seminaris Hotel, and a beautiful full page color ad on the inside front cover of the program. In return, coverage provided by our joint efforts resulted in the extensive "On the Scene" internet pages that DressageDaily and Junior-Riders has become know for.

American riders at dressage competitions covered on the Phelps Photo Tour have come to know our services. But it is a thrill and an honor to have riders such as Monica Theodorescu, Karin Rehbein, Kristie Oatley, Ricky MacMillan, and Herbert Boger frequent our booth to admire and purchase our photos.

The appreciation for our presence goes a long way. It's hard work and many miles from home but we share the passion and love for the sport with those who participate in it, and couldn't think of a better job to have created for ourselves.
