August 2 2000 North American Young Riders Begins 
As we begin
our coverage "On the Scene" from Parker Colorado, of The North American
Young Riders' Championships, we will focus not only our cameras on all
competitors, but bring you daily tidbits about the riders and the teams
in all disciplines, dressage, showjumping, and three-day event. The dedication and hard work of all the riders is reflected on the first day of competition where the teams and indivdual riders present their horses before a veterinary panel and the ground jury. Sadly, David Marcus, from Region 4 and his seven-year-old Holsteiner mare Catalina (by Cabaret) did not pass, after hitting herself during an earlier workout.
