Georgia Bret has been riding since 1993 and is a competition veteran at Special Olympics equestrian competitions and the annual ACORD, American Competition Opportunities for Riders With Disabilities Inc., in Georgia. He lent his horse to ACORD for the 1996 Atlanta Paralympics and also served as a groom. Bret's mental challenges do not affect his sunny disposition and helpfulness. Bret took a silver medal at last year's Team Challenge at the North American Young Riders' Competition, riding to "Man of La Mancha". He currently trains with Brooke Waldron and Pam Beaker-Lifton. He loves acting and has participated in many high school productions. Bret has mental retardation and will be attending the Roosevelt Rehabilitation Center in Georgia this fall.
