August 24 2000 How I Spent My Summer Vacation
Frankly we
needed a break from horses and computers, and spent last week at the Gros
Ventre Campground in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where we were greeted by Mr.
Moose and his comrades throughout the week. With our campsite next to
the river, in the shadow of the Teton mountain range, it was DressageDaily's
own version of "Survivor" as we spent 5 days running on power from our
generator, and rationing the water supply in the holding tank of our camper.
The Phelps Photo¨ Tour 's end of summer destination is the Jackson Hole Horse Trials beginning tomorrow August 25, with dressage at the foot of the Teton Mountains at Spring Creek Ranch. Our gracious hosts, Bill and Robin Weiss have provided us with deluxe accommodations in a loft apartment on the ranch, where even our traveling Corgies, Winnie and Gizmo are welcome. It's out of the woods and back on-line. |
