September 29 2000 Dutch Anthem Plays at Devon 
Riding with
the KWPN logo on her saddle pad, Suzanne van Cuyk won the FEI Prix St
George on the 9-year-old KWPN mare Anna Karenina by Sultan, owned by Sally
Miller. On the same day news came in that her fellow countrywoman Anky
van Grunsven placed first in the Olympic Games in the Grand Prix Special,
the national anthem from the Netherlands was played in Devon, Pennsylvania,
USA as well! The KWPN has been having a super show at Dressage at Devon with the Dutch Stallion Juventus (by Dublin) winning Grand Champion in the Breed division as well. Todd Flettrich placed first through third with Kinnaras (KWPN by Orpheus) , Infinity (KWPN by Roemer) and Juventus respectively starting off the first day of the performance division in good form. Devon results are being posted throughout the weekend. |
