November 11, 2000 The Salzgeber Era Has Commenced 
The European
winter show circuit took off with the CDI-W Berlin just two weeks ago
but is already reaching a climax with the Stuttgart German Masters Competition.
On the Latvian bred Rusty (by Rebuss), Ulla Salzgeber showed what the
future has in store. Salzgeber dominated both Grand Prix and Special in
the German Masters competition. With a 77.17% and 79.44% score, Salzgeber
indicated that she's is now the leading dressage rider in the world.
Nevertheless, Stuttgart was not all about Ulla and her horse. Rudolf Zeilinger won the Duke of Baden Wurttemberg Prize with his Hanoverian Livinjo (by Lysander) and German prima donna Isabell Werth had her new talent, Agnelli FRH (Hann, by Akzent II), honored with the Otto Lörke prize. As grand finale of this five-day-show, Gigolo FRH moved a 60,000 people counting crowd with his last kur to music ever. The 17-year-old Graditz son was officially being retired in Stuttgart, a moving occassion for both Werth and trainer Uwe Schulten-Baumer. Related Links: Text by Astrid Appels - Eurodressage.com
