March 24, 2001 WEF Dressage Classic: Lipp Scores with Douwe and Aragonis
Karen Lipp and Douwe won the Intermediaire -1 Freestyle with 69.63% despite
that the sky opened up and poured rain during their test. They also continued
to collect points for going to Gladstone, placing third in the Intermediaire
I USET qualifier with 65.5. The pair was third at Gladstone last year
and Lipp says she would like to do well with him this year before she
moves him up.
Lipp also placed second on Aragonis in Fourth level test one with 67%. He is a 16.1h Oldenburg that she says is "really green. I'm pleased with him because he was steady and light and I'm riding him for his very small owner." Aragonis was imported from Germany as an approved stallion but they gelded him because his owner is an amateur. Text by Amber Heintzberger for Dressagedaily.com |
