Sunday, February 17, 2002 USDF To Host Clinics for Advanced Junior/Young Riders
Each clinic will be run as a three-day intensive learning program, with individual lessons for each rider on all three days of the clinic. Auditors, both juniors and adults, are strongly encouraged, as the clinics are an unparalleled opportunity to learn from one of the master equestrian trainers of today. The six
spring clinics scheduled are: Conrad Schumacher is a trainer of European Championship, World Championship, and Olympic Riders, including Ellen Bontje, and Sven and Gonnelien Rothenberger. He coached Sven and Gonnelien to their silver medal team finish and Sven to his individual bronze medal in the 1996 Olympics. From 1979 to 1989, he trained five European Young Rider Championship first place team and individual medal winners. He has been the official trainer to the British World Equestrian Games and Olympic teams. He has been the exclusive trainer to the USDF Advanced Young Riders. In 1999, he conducted the 1999 USDF National Dressage Symposium, and was the featured clinician at the USDF Trainers Conferences. Clinics run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on day three the clinic begins at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 1:45 p.m. The cost of auditing is $30 per day or $70 for the three-day package.
