Ulla Salzgeber and Rusty Keep Their Hold On #1

Ulla Salzgeber and RustyA relaxed and confident Ulla Salzgeber and her World Cup Champion the Russian Warmblood, Rusty, locked the lead in the first part of the CHIO Aachen Grand Prix Championships with a 76.72% just ahead of Nadine Cappellmann and the fabulous Farbenfroh, who were also awarded the Reiter Revue Horse of the Year.

Looking healthy and fresh, the duo had a strong test, showing their super pirouettes, extensions and rhythmical piaffe, passage transitions.

Making the top 12 for the USA, were Lisa Wilcox and Relevant, the Rubenstein stallion, with a 69.16. Just behind her, in 13th position, were Guenter Seidel and Nikolas 7, who had some brilliant moments in their test, but were just a fraction of a point behind teammate Wilcox.

After day two of Dressage action at Aachen, a full schedule for the week continues. We are finally on-line, thanks to the helpful technical staff in the press center.
