2002 ABIC/USDF Region III Dressage Championships

Camden, SC - The 2002 Region III Dressage Championships sponsored by the American Bankers Insurance Company and the United States Dressage Federation will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 8,9,10, 2002 at the Westfall Arena hosted by South Carolina Dressage and Combined Training Association and The Heritage Dressage Classic

The Competition will draw Competitors from a five state region. (SC, GA, FL, TN, AL) Some of the top dressage riders in the United States will be compete for these regional titles.

This is also a qualifying competition for the 2003 North American Young Riders Championships and the Dressage Seat Medal Finals. Our Region III Young Riders have been medallists at the last four North American Young Rider Championships, held in August each year at Temple Farms in Wadsworth, IL. The Young Rider competitors at this competition will vie for a position on the 2003 Region III team.

The public is invited to view the competition each day from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at no charge. In addition to the competition there will be vendors of interest on the grounds with a variety of displays. (Jewelry, Clothing, Woodworks, Pottery, Gifts, Veterinary Products, Chevrolet Cars and Trucks, Horse Trailers and more) Competitions of special interest to spectators include the Musical Freestyle, to be held during the luncheon hours each day. Like freestyle competitions in ice skating, dressage freestyles feature originally choreographed rides to music.
