Wednesday, October 30, 2002 Brooke Doss and Wescott Promising Pan Am Prospects
With a score of 71.375, FEI "O" judge Francis Verbeek, of the Netherlands gave the polished duo the highest marks of 292. In in a solid and fluid test the pair, together since Wescott was a young horse, proved the have evolved into a world-class talent, which will make them strong contenders for a spot on the USET 2002 Pan American Team. A long time student of Gunnar Ostergaard who helped Brooke and the young American bred Oldenburg reach the FEI Levels, Doss has recently begun working in training sessions with Denmark's Lars Peterson, now relocated to the United States.
Doss also won the First Level Championship on Nambe, topping a quality class of talented horses with the top placings in the upper sixty percentiles. Marcy Wright, of Columbus, North Carolina, owns the 7-year-old Dutch Warmblood by Pinocchio out of Amelusienz by Abgar. Related
