VADA President, Freestyle designer Tigger Montague and her theatrical troupe on horseback have created a full scale costumed musical production based on The Lion King, all on horseback. Performing the full version for the first time this Saturday at the USDF Symposium, they will be one of the featured acts presented at the North Carolina State Fair Complex, along with a full weekend of educational and instructional sessions with 2002 WEG team Silver Medalist, Debbie McDonald, and George Williams.
Performances include the Mount Tabor Vaulters, a pas de deux, a pas de trio, an eight-rider quadrille, solo performances by several FEI-level riders and the Cherokee Heritage Dancers performing some of the most celebrated Native American dances. Adding to the festivities will be a Western reining performance and Shining Moment, a parody of dressage movements by two performers in horse costume. A portion of the proceeds from "Dancing With Horses" will be given to the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation. Saturday,
