Who's Who: Shannon Dueck

Our Christmas Special Who's Who is Canadian Grand Prix rider Shannon Dueck. Shannon Dueck is a bright star of Canadian Dressage, shining in International competition. She and her Dutch warmblood gelding Korona have numerous awards and accomplishments behind them and a promising future ahead of them. With a participation at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, as current apex, Dueck and Korona have not yet reached their limits.

Trained by the Dutch Bert Rutten, Shannon Dueck considers Korona her first good ride. "He's my first really good horse," says Shannon. "He's such a treat after riding so many wild Thoroughbreds! He has tons of temperament, which makes him interesting to train and compete, and I have to be strong and tactful at the same time."
