2003 Freestyle Celebration To Benefit Breast Cancer Research Foundation at the Palm Beach Dressage Derby

WELLINGTON, FL (February 10, 2003) — On Sunday, March 2, 2003, the second annual Breast Cancer Research Foundation Benefit will return to the Palm Beach Dressage Derby in Loxahatchee, Florida. Last year, Grand Prix dressage riders Betsy Steiner, Patrick Burssens and Lynda Alicki dazzled the crowd with a stunning Pas de Trois. In 2003, there will be six Grand Prix riders performing a musical freestyle — joining Betsy, Lynda and Patrick are internationally acclaimed equestrians Pamela Goodrich, Bent Jensen, and George Williams.

Evelyn Lauder, Senior Vice President of Estee Lauder Companies, Inc. and founder of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation welcomed a sold-out audience of equestrian benefactors last year — supporters who recognized the need for continuing research of this widely prevalent disease.

Mrs. Lauder will again be at the Derby March 2 to welcome sponsors and patrons to an elegant champagne luncheon that includes ringside seating for both the Derby’s FEI competition and the featured 2003 Freestyle Celebration performance.

An impressive $46,000 was raised for The Foundation at the 2002 benefit. This year the goal is $100,000. To reach that goal numerous patron opportunities are available.
