Silke Rembacz and Millennium Win Highlife Cup

Highlife Cup Adds Prize Money and Style to Orlando Dressage

Together with show manager Klaus Fraessdorf, Joan and Kenny Sims of Highlife Farms created the Highlife Cup, awarded to the top average scores in the FEI Level divisions. Held on January 31, and February 1, Highlife Farms hosted a Competitor’s Party Saturday evening with a catered dinner and band. Participants had the opportunity to see first hand the facilities which also has a breeding and quarantine facility, while enjoying good food, drink, music and company.

Joan and Kenny Sims are just around the corner from the Clarcona Horseman’s Park, where their beautiful Highlife Farms, with imported sport horses and facilities rival all others in both the United States and Europe. Bringing their expertise in construction and business management, together with a team of horse specialists, they have made their mark in the Dressage world in record time.

“I love competing in Orlando.” said Jules Nyssen, who dominated the Grand Prix division with his Dutch warmblood Good Times. Nyssen comes to Orlando from his Southern Pines, NC headquarters with Jennifer Brinkley, every winter. “I love the parties.” Nyssen added. Between the Highlife weekend and the upcoming Heidelberg Cup party hosted by Kathryn Groves, Orlando Dressage offers a rare opportunity for dressage competitors in Florida to get together after the show and have a good time. Brinkley brought her husband and son, who visited Disney World while she competed.
