2004 Detroit Dressage

Kaitlyn Hamilton, FEI Grand Champion in Detroit

Nursing student Kaitlyn Hamilton, 18, riding her Dutch horse Noviembre took the FEI Young Rider Prix St. George YR Qualifier to be FEI Grand Champion at Zada Enterprises LLC Detroit Dressage I/II with a 65.38%. The big bay is an inspiration to the Region 2 rider.

"Noah has really changed me in a good way. If I can ride him, I can ride any horse. He loves to get away with things and I have to keep on my toes but he has a big heart."

Hamilton's dependable parents have never missed a show since Hamilton began competing as a 7-year old. Her father Larry said, "She gets her looks from her mom and her seat from me." Hamilton rolls her eyes and smiles. Her dad doesn't really ride but he loves to make that joke. Mom was the dresage rider. Both have the good looks.

Hamilton rides with Judy Kelly, Jochen Hippenstiel from Temple Farms and clinics with Conrad Schumacher.
