Friday June 4, 2005 American Combinations for 2004 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses 5-year olds: Royal Prince and Sir Sinclair
The 5-year olds representing the United States in Germany will be Hilltop Farm's Royal Prince and Iron Spring Farm's Sir Sinclair. Both horses competed last weekend in the East Coast Finals at the ESDCTA Memorial Weekend Dressage Show in Allentown, New Jersey. Royal Prince, a Hanoverian stallion by Rohdiamant x Prince Tatch xx, won the Finals under Susanne Owen Hassler with 9.82 score. KWPN licensed stallion Sir Sinclair (Lord Sinclair x Flemmingh) and Dorie Addy Crow placed second with an 8.98 mark. Royal Prince and Sir Sinclair will be travelling to Europe together. Susanne Hassler and Dorie Addy Crow will be training the horses with Michael Klimke and Dr. Ulf Möller in preparation of the Championships. "Sir Sinclair & Dorie will fly to Europe around June 23rd," Iron Spring Farm manager Meghan de Garay said. Sir Sinclair's owner, Mary Alica Malone of Iron Spring Farm was a bit reluctant to send her horse to Europe, as he's in the middle of his breeding season and ISF did not want to disappoint its clients. Therefore, ISF decided to prolong to extend Sir Sinclair's breeding duties. "Right now it looks like Sir Sinclair will not be available for breeding from June 23rd until he returns to the US around July 15th and he will be available for breeding again on July 19 th 2004. We will extend Sir Sinclair's breeding season from July 30th to August 13th, 2004." |
