Tuesday September 7, 2004 FS Lord Loxley and Kaiserkult Win 2004 Bundeschampionate
In the 5-year old division the Rhinelander branded licensed stallion FS Lord Loxley (Lord Sinclair x Weltmeyer) reigned supreme under his steady rider Jana Freund. Bred by Gestut Sonnenhof in Belgium and owned by Josef Wilbers of Ferienhof Stucker, FS Lord Loxley was the most powerful and rhythmic mover of the group running a correct test with great self carriage and expression. "This was top class," judge Christoph Hess said, "he's a world horse." FS Lord Loxley scored a 9.5 in the finals. Reserve champion was the Oldenburg mare Destination (Don Gregory x Rubinstein) ridden by Dr. Ulf Möller. In the 6-year old division, the Trakehner stallion Kaiserkult (Van Deyk x Gajus) received the highest mark from the judges, a 9.2. Ridden and owned by Dorothee Schneider of Gestut St. Stephan, Kaiserkult was "harmony pure," as Hess described him. The dark bay stallion moved with much rhythm and cadence, easily shifting from collection into extension and back into collection. This charming Trakehner stood out by his correct, classical training showing true happiness in his work. Reserve champion was the impressive Hanoverian gelding Wambo (Walt Disney x Espri) ridden by Hans Peter Bauer Text and photo copyrighted: Astrid Appels of Eurodressage.com Complete Show Coverage of the Bundeschampionate at Eurodressage.com |
