Rumors Wins “Born in the USA” Award at 2004 Devon Breed Show

RumorsThe 2004 filly Rumors, owned by Veronique Mallet of Churchville, Maryland and bred by Angela Barilar was the overall high score winner of the show, with an 85.5%. At the 2004 Devon Breed Show, Rumors won the Filly Class, The German Oldenburg class, the "Born in the U.S.A" class and was highpoint champion of the show. Rumors is an Oldenburg by Rosenthal out of SPS Pijou.

Rumor's breeder Angela Barilar of Highpoint Hanoverians was ecstatic with the achievements of her foal in Devon. "We were thrilled with her performance, she was the last filly shown during the remnants of Hurricane Jeanne before the show was canceled for the day," Barilar explained. "She really rose to the occasion showing a lovely walk and exceptional trot in the gold ring which was now a river. I remember thinking as I came down the final line " this is a perfect round". Of course being of good quiet Rubinstein blood she is usual a bit too laid back, but the hurricane added just the right amount of oomph. She earned the following scores, 8.5 conformation, 9 walk, 8 trot, 8.5 general impression. Overall 85.5%."
