Mimi BlockDressage is said to be a sport of patience and dressage enthusiasts’ patience is about to be rewarded with the start of the Winter Equestrian Festival Dressage Series beginning Thursday, February 3rd and running through Sunday, February 5th at the Palm Beach Polo and Equestrian Club.

Wellington Dressage kicks off at 9:00 am Thursday morning with the FEI Intermediare II class in ring one. Rider’s in this first class will face stiff competition from a number of top international riders including Jan Brons, Marco Bernal, Lynda Alicki, Kathy Priest, Tara Stegen, Ashley Holzer and Shannon Dueck. And the Prix St George competitions in ring two will be equally daunting with a star-studded lineup including Betsy Steiner, Christopher Hickey, Dr. Cesar Parra and Hubertus Schmidt amidst over 30 entries.

Friday morning the Grand Prix classes get underway with even more of dressage’s heavy hitters scheduled to compete. Watch for George Williams and Marnix, Lars Peterson on Dansko’s Success, Ashley Holzer on Imperioso and Pierre St. Jacques hoping his Pan American Games medal mount, Lucky Tiger will again live up to his name!
