FEI Classes Chock Full on Day Two of the Zada Enterprises, LLC Florida Dressage Classic

Leslie MorseThe FEI level classes were exceptionally large on day two of the Zada Enterprises, LLC Florida Dressage Classic. The $1500 FEI Grand Prix class ran over three and half hours while 20 riders competed in the largest Grand Prix class of the season at the Winter Equestrian Festival. The victor was Leslie Morse riding the ever-dynamic, Kingston. Morse’s brilliant ride turned heads and despite a few mistakes, earned her a score of 72.014%.

“Because it was not a CDI, I took a few risks and went for more scope,” said Leslie. “Kingston is so strong and confident at home and he gets even more electric here at the show grounds. His piaffe and passage were really super. Now I just need to contain the brilliance and that’s really a lot of fun.”

Second place rider, Michael Barisone on Neruda also had fun and wowed the judges for a score of 68.125%. Third place in the large Grand Prix went to George Williams who rode Joann Smith’s powerful Dutch gelding, Marnix to a score of 67.292%.
