Saturday, May 13, 2006 Paxton Farm CDI Has Sunny Spirits Under Stormy Skies Cesar Parra and Galant du Serein Rack Up Another Victory
While the talented 11-year-old KWPN gelding by Haarlem showed his brilliance in extensions and passage work, he missed his changes, and did not have clearly defined pirouettes. Barisone knew when he watched the scoreboard as he left the arena the news was not great.
Parra, who is qualified for the FEI World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany in August, represents his home country of Columbia. Both Parra and Barisone have been in transition making the move from Florida to their respective facilities in New Jersey, near Gladstone where they train and work with clients in the summer months. The last to go in the class, just as the skies let loose with another round of rain, earned a with a 64.875 from the judges’ panel of Ms. Maribel Alonzo de Quinzanos, Marianne Cunningham, Cara Whitham, Janet Foy, and Gary Rockwell.
