On the Scene at DG Bar Dressage Show Features Markel High Point Series

Markel Insurance Group Honors High Point Winners

Together with John Seger of Markel Insurance Company, show manager Glenda McElroy created a Markel/Cornerstone High Point Series, for Dressage in California, with coolers and ribbons presented to the High Point Winners of designated Cornerstone Events since 2004. Seger has noticed the beautiful coolers given to each winner decorating the stable area and given a premier spot on blanket hangers outside the stalls. The winners of each cooler at each event are happy to get the extra bonus for their achievements.

Markel has come on board to continue the High Point Series, in addition to now being a National sponsor of the Markel/USEF Young Horse Dressage Championships, where at Flintridge, the Western division of the Young Horse selection Trials will soon be held.

Markel representative, John Seger, flew out from Georgia to view first-hand some of our west coast competitors. When asked about the developing horse and West Coast Adult Amateur Program Markel has created Seger beamed,“Markel is delighted to support dressage with the emphasis in Young Horse and Adult Amateur Competitions and it’s a pleasure to have been a part of this show.”

With DG Bar located between Fresno and Bakersfield off the 99 corridor, it’s accessible not only to Californians but those traveling from the Pacific Northwest, Nevada, Arizona and even as far as Colorado thus providing the opportunity to view a larger pooling of top quality horses and equally talented riders from all over the west.

A/A: Susan Allen – Frederic 109 71.667% - Training Level from Judge Cocklan
Jr/YR: Emily Tears – Lopaca 74.737% - 2nd Level from Judge Mason
