Cesar Parra of Colombia and Galant De Serein Nail Another Grand Prix Victory - Chris Hickey and Regent Win PSG at CDI Raleigh 2006

Cesar Parra who will be representing Colombia at the FEI World Equestrian Games, Aachen 2006, and Horses Unlimited’s Selles Francais Stallion Galant De Serein nailed another win with a 66.7 over Michael Barisone and Neruda (66.5) Leslie Morse and Tip Top (66.375) Four scratches left a fourteen horse field and scores were tight for the panel of five judges; Libby McMullen, “O” Canada, Anne Gribbons I, United States, Cara Whitam O, Canada, Peter Engel, Germany, and Jacques Van Daele from Belgium.

But Barisone and the elegant Neruda cannot seem to catch a break. The two “O” Canadian judges gave him 63.9 which did not give him the necessary certificate of capability for the World Equestrian Games. Unless he is allowed to get it at Gladstone during the Championships, he can no longer go to WEG even if he made the team.

In the Prix St Georges, Chris Hickey and Regent topped the Prix St Georges class with a 68.333 over Lars Petersen and Dacardo with a 67.833.
