25th Anniversary of the Palm Beach Dressage Derby CDI-W/Y A Day of Mall Shopping Pays off for Mystere Moyes in Best-Dressed Contest at the Palm Beach Dressage Derby CDI-W/Y
"Wow, that's awesome," said the Dallas, Texas resident after learning of her win. "It was my first jog and my first CDI. My trainer told me to dress well. This is awesome." For looking so good, Moyes was presented with a $100 gift certificate from Sho Clothes. Blackmon, of Black Star Sporthorses in Dallas, Texas, said she believes all young riders should be trained early to dress well for the FEI jog. "It's a sign of respect for the sport and the horse. The judges come out well-dressed and riders should also take some pride in what they do." Blackmon praised Sho Clothes for giving out prize money because such prizes "give riders some extra incentive to dress well." Of their mall shopping trip, Blackmon said they hit the stores with a real plan in mind. "We knew we wanted to dress nice and we knew we wanted something that went well with a chestnut horse and that's why we picked peach." |
