Copper Creek Dressage Enjoys Sunny Weather, Sunny Outlook Anastasia Ferguson and Enfer du Nord Win the James Rowe Memorial Trophy
“Instead of using a typical concession wagon, we had local coffee shop Gracie’s Place cater and we were overwhelmed by the response of the exhibitors,” said Show Manager Sandy Hunt. But nobody goes through the work of preparing for a show for the food and the Copper Creek staff have made it their priority to make the conditions right for exhibitors to enjoy the showing experience. “We are committed to being the most exhibitor-friendly show in the area,” said Hunt. That commitment includes safe, pleasant stabling, a schedule that runs on time and fun prizes to recognize great efforts. “At the May show, the pink Copper Creek baseball hat was the most popular prize,” said Hunt. “Many exhibitors commented that fun prizes are great motivation at a show.” One of the special trophies awarded at Spring Dressage was the James Rowe Memorial Trophy, won by Anastasia Ferguson of Williamston, Michigan on Enfer du Nord (65.75%). MSU professor Hilary Clayton on MSU Fanfare (62.326%) won the Dover Saddlery Adult Amateur Medal. The show also awarded Champion and Reserve Championships at all levels. Winners were able to take their gift certificates from Sporthorse Saddlery shopping right at the show at Sporthorse’s mobile shop.
