At the 2007 USDF Annual meeting in Orlando, Betsy Steiner met Melissa Vanacore, manager of Longfield Stables at Palmetto Bluff near Hilton Head, South Carolina.

There the concept was born to develop Dressage Retreat where participants practice the mind, body and spirit experiece introduced by Betsy Steiner, USET team member and and developer of Equilates.
